With input from the main industry associations, the Spanish Cabinet published in December 2024 its proposed Strategy Pharmaceutical Industry Strategy wich aims to address the health needs of the population as a driving force to develop an ecosystem of relationships in which innovation, production and access to medicines. The Strategy seeks to impact three key aspects of the pharmaceutical sector: equitable access to medicines, the sustainability of the NHS and the promotion of innovation and competitiveness of the industry. With these objectives, the Strategy promotes an ecosystem in which innovation, production, access to medicines and sustainability are integrated into the same approach. This roundtable convenes government officials and representatives of the industry to discuss how the strategy translates into a roadmap and identify concerns and challenges for the industry.
