Details

This panel will explore cutting edge technologies for detecting and characterizing multidrug resistant bacteria (MDR) across human, food, and environmental matrices within a One Health framework. Topics include gene based identification using LAMP, advanced electrochemical biosensors, nanomaterial enhanced detection, microfluidic lab on a chip devices, and PoC diagnostic platforms. Recent advances demonstrate sub hour detection of key AMR genes, ultra low detection limits in complex samples, and real time antimicrobial susceptibility testing. These diagnostic capabilities are essential not only for clinical decision making but also for enabling the development of new antimicrobials by providing high resolution data on pathogen profiles. The panel will gather experts across diagnostics, microfluidics, biosensing, environmental microbiology, and pharmaceutical innovation to outline the future of AMR detection and its impact on drug discovery.
